Are you an installer?

No. Energy Lead Hub is a UK matching service. We help homeowners understand whether solar and battery storage could suit their property, then introduce them to a checked installer who covers their area. We do not install, sell or finance equipment.

How accurate are your savings figures?

Accepted Answer

They are indicative estimates, not quotations. We combine the details you provide about your property, roof and electricity spend with conservative standard UK assumptions about generation and self-consumption. Only a survey and a quotation from an installer can confirm what your property can achieve.

What happens to my details after I complete the assessment?

Accepted Answer

Your answers produce an on-screen estimate immediately. Your contact details are only passed to an installer when you ask for a quote or an appointment. We introduce you to one matched installer rather than selling your enquiry to several companies. Our privacy notice sets out how your information is handled and how to ask us to stop.

How do you choose which installer I am matched with?

We look at the postcode area you give us, whether the installer covers the services you asked about such as solar PV, battery storage or both, and whether their account has been reviewed and approved and is active on the platform. You decide whether to take the match forward.

Do I need to own my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Solar panels are a permanent alteration to a property, so an installer can only proceed with the homeowner involved. If you rent, your landlord would need to arrange it.

How long does the assessment take?

Around two minutes. It is seven short questions and most of them are a single tap on a phone.

Will I be contacted straight away?

Accepted Answer

Only if you ask to be. Your indicative result appears on screen immediately and you can stop there. Contact only follows a request for a quote or an appointment.

Can I include battery storage in the assessment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The assessment asks whether you are interested in solar panels, battery storage or both, and your result explains how storage could change how much of your own generation you use.

Do you cover the whole of the UK?

The assessment is open to UK homeowners. Whether we can match you depends on whether an approved installer currently covers your postcode area, so coverage varies by location.

How do installers pay, and is wallet credit refundable?

Accepted Answer

Installers add prepaid credit to a Lead Wallet and £75 is deducted only when they choose to accept a lead. That credit is a prepaid purchase of lead access, so it is non-refundable and cannot be withdrawn once added. It does not expire, and where a lead is found to be invalid under our lead quality policy the value is returned to the installer's wallet as credit rather than refunded to their card.

What if the installer I am matched with is not right for me?

You are under no obligation at any stage. You can decline, seek other quotes independently, or contact us and we will stop passing your details on.
